MinusOne is a reflective journal that makes time feel real. It pairs a daily D-day countdown with a one-line entry, so you can notice today instead of letting it blur past.
No photos, tags, or folders. MinusOne is built around a single line a day, with a quiet interface that lets your patterns surface after just a few entries.
It is calculated from the birthdate and target age you set in your profile, and it updates every day automatically. You can change your target anytime from settings.
MinusOne runs on iOS and Android. With a premium plan, your entries sync across devices through end-to-end encryption.
Every entry is encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your device before it is stored. Only the encrypted payload — never the plaintext — ever leaves the device.
No. MinusOne is end-to-end encrypted: the decryption key stays on your device, and the server cannot read what you write.
MinusOne is ad-free. We collect a minimal amount of anonymous usage data to keep the service stable, and journal content is fully excluded from any analytics.
When you request account deletion, all personal data on our servers is permanently removed within 30 days. You can also clear the local data left on your device.
Premium unlocks monthly recaps, personalized reflections, multi-device sync, and encrypted cloud backup — everything designed for a deeper, longer-running reflection practice.
Subscriptions are processed through the App Store or Google Play, and your payment details are handled securely by the store.

Yes. With a premium plan, your entries sync between devices through end-to-end encryption. Sign in with the same account and enter your backup key to restore your history on a new device.
Because MinusOne is end-to-end encrypted, even our team cannot decrypt your entries without your backup key and passcode. Please store the backup key shown in settings somewhere safe.
Yes. Writing entries and viewing your D-day work offline. When you reconnect, your changes sync automatically.
